We've taken the Philly cheesesteak and turned it into a blazing pepper-loaded grilled cheese with steak. Sweet Red Devil sauce and Sweet Heat spices add to the fire.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Skirt Steak
- 2 Tbsp. Sauce Goddess Sweet Heat
- 2 ea Jalapeno pepper, sliced in rings
- 3 ea Serrano pepper, sliced in rings
- 1 ea Thai pepper, sliced in rings
- 1 ea Anaheim pepper sliced in rings
- 2 Tbsp Oil,
- 8 slices Pepperjack cheese
- 2 Tbsp Garlic, minced or grated
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp Sauce Goddess Sweet Red Devil sauce
- 8 slices Jalapeno Cheese Bread
- 2 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Heat a grill pan or grill on medium high. Lightly oil.
- Sprinkle Sweet Heat Spice rub on steak. Place on grill and cook until medium rare. Let rest.
- In a sauté pan, heat oil on medium. Add peppers and cook until tender. Leave pan on low.
- Slice steak into very thin slices. Toss with peppers. Remove from stove in hot pan.
- Butter half the bread on one side. Place on grill pan.
- Add 1 slice of cheese, then the meat and pepper mixture, the second slice of cheese.
- Combine Garlic, Mayonnaise and Sweet Red Devil sauce in a bowl.
- Spread mayo on the top bread. Place on sandwich. Butter the top of the bread.
- When the bottom has browned, flip it over.
