Moroccan Twist and Onion Hummus

This dip has the exotic flavor of cardamom and allspice. it’s a great combo with the traditional bean for hummus, garbanzos.

Moroccan Twist and Onion Hummus


  1. Saute diced onion in 1 Tbsp olive oil, let cool.
  2. Drain the can of garbanzo beans, saving the liquid in a bowl.
  3. Place beans into blender or food processor.
  4. Add Moroccan Twist and salt.
  5. Add cooled onions.
  6. Buzz it up in the blender/processor.
  7. Add some of the reserved liquid from the can of beans.
  8. Buzz it some more.
  9. Keep adding liquid until it is the consistency you like. I use around 3 Tbs or so.
  10. Top with a squeeze of lime.

Prep Time: 10 minutes ; Yield: 1 cup
