This rich pork belly is a decadent trip to the Far East. We use ginger and sesame oil in addition to our vinegar-based Sweet & Tangy sauce to infuse flavor into the pork.

Korean BBQ inspired pork belly brings the best of east and west BBQ together with the richest pork in the world. Sweet and tangy, slightly spicy, this dish can be finished on the grill or a wok if you like it a bit crispy on the outside.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Pork Belly, diced into 2” chunks
- 2 Tbsp Sauce Goddess Sweet Heat
- 1 jar Sauce Goddess Sweet & Tangy Marinade
- 2 Tbsp Dry Ginger
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil (light olive oil, avocado oil)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Note this recipe can also be done in a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle Sweet Heat on pork belly.
- Set aside.
- Combine Sauce Goddess Sweet & Tangy sauce, sesame oil and ginger in a 2 cup measuring bowl.
- Stir to combine.
- In a large shallow oven-safe pan, brown all pieces of pork belly.
- Pour 1/2 cup of the sauce over the pieces of pork.
- Cover and place in a 300 degree oven.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and baste with sauce in the pan. Fat should be visible now on top of the sauce.
- Cover and return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Remove the meat from the pan and pour off the fat and sauce. This is waste but it needs to cool before you can throw it in the trash.
- Return the meat to the pan, add 1 cup of sauce and coat all the pieces.
- Bake for 15 minutes with the lid off.
- Baste again and return to the oven.
- Bake for the final 15 mintues, this step will brown the tops.
- Add remaining fresh sauce and heat throughout.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
