Celiac Awareness Tour Travels to San Diego

Rocky River, Ohio, February 17, 2013 – Ohio‐based gluten‐free health expo, Celiac Awareness Tour, is making its way to San Diego, California to promote celiac awareness and encourage a healthy, gluten‐free lifestyle.

The Celiac Awareness Tour expo will take place on March 16th and 17th, 2013 from 9am – 3pm at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Ticket prices range from $15 for a two‐day pass to $25 available at the door. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission. This event will feature expert presentations, live cooking demonstrations, yoga classes, Irish dance performances, a comedian, gluten‐free food and beverage samples and gluten‐free prizes. There will also be a children’s pavilion to ensure a fun and entertaining gluten-free experience for kids, including balloon twisting, a St. Patrick’s Day coloring contest and face painting.

Featured experts will include Brian Gansmann, author of the best selling book, “Defeat Wheat: Your Guide to Eliminating Gluten and Losing Weight”; Dr. Susan Algert, who currently manages one million in nutrition education contracts from the U.S. Department of Agriculture; Dr. Kimberly Newton, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego; Chef Peter Klarman, from Chef of the Future and author of the book, “Better Food for a Better You”; Karen Fine, author of three children’s books and blog, Fine Cooks…Everything Gluten Free; Clea Shannon from Eat Inspired Today, LLC; Chef Chris Decker from Decker Brothers Gourmet, San Diego, CA; and Chef Katherine Emmenegger, Executive Chef at Great News! Cookware and Cooking School.
