That Sweet Heat rub is so awesome. I use it mostly for peel & eat shrimp and recently did a test for beer can chicken. I used Emeril’s Rustic Rub on one half and Sweet Heat on the other. You win hands down. There is NO comparison!!!! I’ve also tried it on salmon & scallops, but shrimp is the best.

I rubbed down my pork shoulder with Sweet Heat and left it in the refrigerator overnight.
The next morning I put the shoulder in the crock pot with some apple cider vinegar and chicken broth to cook 8 hours. After cooking and shredding the meat, I poured the jar of Sweet and Tangy sauce in the crock pot and let it simmer about 10 minutes. Best pulled pork I have ever made and the whole family enjoyed it, even my finicky teenager!
