This recipe was created as part of a challenge during the Covid 19 shelter at home. It was so delicious the recipe made the website.
Ingredients
- 2 cans crab, drained well
- 1/4 cups tortilla chips crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Sauce Goddess Sweet Heat
- 1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
- shredded cheddar cheese
- oil and butter to cook
- 1/2 cup Sweet Red Devil sauce
- 1/4 cup brewed coffee
Instructions
- In a saute pan combine Sweet Red Devil sauce and coffee.
- Cook on medium heat until reduced by half. About 10 minutes.
- Set aside and make the crab cakes.
- Combine together the crab, horseradish, egg, seasoning, cheese and chips.
- Heat 1 Tbsp each oil and butter together in a pan.
- Form the crab mixture into patties.
- Place carefully into the hot oil.
- When the cakes are golden brown on one side, flip them over and cook the other side.
- When all the crab cakes are cooked, you are ready to sauce each one and serve.
- Careful the sauce is deliciously spicy.
